Is the craze for Namitha on the wane in her crucial Tamil Nadu rural B & C market?
There are hardly any buyers for her new film Azhagana Ponnuthan, as her market is at an all time low.
Take a look at her films in the last 18 months Thee, Perumal, 1977, Indira Vizha, Jaganmohini and first Tamil release of 2010 Nil Gavani Ennai Kaadhali, all sank without a trace.
Azhagana Ponnuthan has been slated for release for the last two months, but distributors are not showing much interest in the film, though the theme is about an older woman falling for a young guy. In the past films in this genre has worked wonders at TN box-office.
Meanwhile Namitha’s market in Kerala especially in Malabar area of the state is at an all time high and she is also wanted in Kannada films. Well Nami baby is made of sterner stuff and we are sure she will bounce back withAzhagana Ponnuthan!
