The world will give the credit for the rest” Whoever saw Padmapriya at the audio launch of the film ‘Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam’ held recently in Sathyam Theatres, Chennai, could not believe their eyes and started salivating as she appeared in a skimpy figure-hugging dress which started just above her boobs and covered just above the knees. You would have ogled such appearances in bathing scenes of Tamil Films only which she dared to do in a public function. Her glamorous dressing style looked as if challenging Namitha!
‘Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam’ is a cow boy film which happens in 18th century and it is about a youngster who confronts slavery. While Raghava Lawrence is doing the lead role, Padmapriya is acting with other two heroines Lakshmi Rai and Sandhya.
Here are the excerpts from Padmapriya ’s interview to the press after the audio launch “I have been acting in good subject-oriented quality films only. That does not mean that I have aimed National Award. I would be happy if I get an award but I am not acting for awards. Everybody is ogling me strangely about my glamorous appearance in this function. I don’t mind about image and I just do what I like.
My answer to those who advice me as to why don’t you earn more by acting glamorously like Nayanthara and Trisha is their style is different and my style is different. I don’t wish to earn more. I don’t want to tell anything about my marriage now. Love blossomed in my life too but it did not go to the extent of marriage. Like all other girls, I too have a desire to get married. Kollywood celebrities made their presence felt at CIFW
The biggest fashion event in Chennai came to a close yesterday. Kollywood celebrities made their presence felt, both on and off the ramp at the five day extravaganza.
Day One had Genelia and Namitha setting the ramp on fire. Genelia was the showstopper for Ishita Singh, while Namitha sizzled for Sidney Sladen. Though Neetu Chandra did not walk the ramp, she came to the fashion week, looking stunning in a figure-hugging black dress.
Also seen on Day One were Sneha, Simbu, Radikaa and Sarathkumar, Shalini and Shamili, Ramya Krishnan, Rahasya, Sangavi, Kasturi, Aparna, Ashok and Yuva.

The Chennai International Fashion Week begins
Probably the first global fashion event in Chennai, the Chennai International Fashion Week begins at Hotel Le Royal Meridien, Chennai.
The opening show is by Pria Kataaria Puri, who will have Bollywood hot bod Koena Mitra walking for her. This will be followed by fashion shows by Chirag Joshi, Ishita Singh, Smallshop Jason and Anshu, and Sri Lankan designer Yolanda Aluwihare. The ramp will be set ablaze by Alicia Raut (walking for Chirag), Genelia D’Souza (show stopper for Ishita), Ex Miss Sri Lanka Anarkali Akarsha (walking for Yolanda) and Indrani Dasgupta (on the ramp for Sidney Sladen).
The finale of the day is by Chennai designer Sidney Sladen, who will have Namitha and Neil Nitin Mukesh walking the ramp for him.
Several celebrities, fashion divas and glitterati from Chennai and across the country are expected to come. With so much excitement on Day One, the rest of the fashion week promises to be a fashion extravaganza.

Namitha will walk the ramp for Chennai-based designer Sidney Sladen
Glamour queen of South Namitha will walk the ramp for Chennai-based designer Sidney Sladen at the Chennai International Fashion Week on December 16.
Namitha is currently busy with her Telugu venture Simha with Balakrishna and Nayantara. She is also working in her first Malayalam film Black Stallion, which will be a trilingual in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
Sidney Sladen is one of Chennai’s topnotch designers and a close friend of Trisha and Ramya Krishnan. Earlier also, the designer has roped in Namitha to launch his second outlet ’Sidney Sladen’ at the Le Meridien.
The fashion-conscious actress seems to be a regular client of Sidney. So now we know from where those low necks, sleeveless and high hemlines came from.
